An eSIM is not a card you slot in — the chip has to be built into the phone already. Here is how to check, in under a minute.
Open the dialler and enter *#06# as though you were calling it. A screen of device identifiers appears. If one of them is labelled EID, your phone supports eSIM. If there is no EID at all, it does not.
This is the check to trust: it asks the handset itself, not a list of model names.
On iPhone:
On Android:
Menu names vary between manufacturers, which is why *#06# is the more reliable route.
We keep a page listing over 250 phones that support eSIM, grouped by maker — see the device list. Treat it as a guide rather than proof: the check above is what settles it, because it asks your own handset.
One caveat: the same model can support eSIM in one market and not in another — some mainland-China variants ship without it. So confirm with *#06#, not with the model name.
Support on its own is not enough. The handset also has to be free of a carrier lock — read what a locked phone is and how to check.
An eSIM cannot be returned once it has been installed, because installing it activates it with the operator at that moment. That is why we ask you to confirm the handset before payment rather than after — the detail is in the refund policy.
If you have checked and are still unsure, talk to us before paying and we will work it out with you.
